The Canal Chapter is an artist space/gallery, a cultural social sculpture that functions as its own installation. It's a reflection on the New York Downtown Scene, here to elevate the state of contemporary art with a tight network of supporting lifestyle publications such as Mass Appeal and Animal. The inspiration behind The Canal Chapter evolved from an idea 1134NYC pitched to Red Bull in 2005, about creating a studio space for its friends in the creative community. The two groups came together in 2005 and over the years, the concept naturally progressed into what the Canal Chapter is today: a prime destination for trendsetters, artists, collectors, musicians and fashionistas.
